Suggested by ![]() Dinosaurs! Big ones! Small ones! Not the robot knock-offs from the inner city, these are real, living dinosaurs coming through town. A T-Rex facing off with your pet dragon? A Compy stealing ALL YOUR SHINY THINGS? An apatosaurus tromping through your garden to get at the delicious tree stars? Pterodactyls are sharing the skies with the birds this week. Even a few plants out of their own time have appeared (good thing too, to feed all those hungry herbivores). It's dino-riffic! |
Suggested by Various It starts with a sniffle, maybe a bad cough, or perhaps you're just feeling a bit under the weather. Soon, most of the city has it, and it's way worse than just your average end-of-winter flu. Airborne and highly contagious, it's a city-wide pandemic. For the weak and ill, the disease is a fairly mild flu; the true horror falls on the healthy. Those with strong immune systems are the most susceptible to it as their bodies turn on themselves, ripping lungs and throats to bloody shreds with violent coughing, severe fevers and bone-deep aches. Attempts at healing the illness only seems to make the symptoms worse-- but instead of dying after all that, people fall into a deep sleep from which they cannot be roused until the end of the week (when they will awake feeling perfectly normal). What do you do when the threat is invisible? |

Also crazy illness ooooooh I love this. Angels aren't supposed to be able to get sick but I figure it's safe to assume this illness just doesn't listen to their shiny healing powers because I'm not sitting out this one~ In fact, it might be fair to assume it would hit them even harder, seeing as they're normally supernaturally healthy~?
ALSO I had a question I wanted to ask and was waiting for the event calendar to go up for: for events that effect people rather than the environment (like the red death, and like the baby event last month), are the NPCs we mostly forget about affected? Like would the poor nameless NPCs last month have had screaming babies, and would they have flipped personalities in personality events, etc etc?

As for the NPCs, yes. The NPC population would basically be affected the same way characters are. Some get saddled with events, some do not, etc.

And yay! I thought they might be, but I was wondering because like, in personality events the affected ones might end up dangerous, and other such things that could be used for plotting.
