Brief Description or Sample: Bel is a brat who's never been genuinely denied. Reality's pretty much let him have the run of things: he was born royalty in a foreign country, unstinted in any desire he could name throughout his childhood; he's something of a battle genius, skilled with knives and wires and tricks—but most significantly, he's been completely and utterly spoiled by these experiences. He maintains a constant preening arrogance, motivated largely by boredom and pettiness. This tips into a vicious hysteria only when his own blood's spilled—almost a trigger of sorts. As far as Bel's concerned, blood resets everything. If he bleeds, the world ought to bleed.

Things to know! He murdered his family, including (supposedly) his twin brother, at eight years old. In spite of himself, he seems to have a sense of the Varia as a family—he follows Xanxus's orders without question, and orders Fran to wear a frog hat, for instance, because he replaced Mammon. The majority of his history's a blank, but as a member of an elite assassination squad, he's murdered his fair share of people, though he seems incapable of doing so without ridiculous flair. In the pursuit of his own entertainment, Bel is absolutely ruthless; very little earns his attention but cleverness, a similar capacity for violence and/or being an easy target. Anything menial simply isn't worth it—including logic. He can do whatever he wants because he's a goddamn prince. Anybody who doesn't take that as good enough can go right to hell.

Skillwise, he's nothing outright supernatural: he seems to have a ridiculous amount of wires (piano-fine) and knives on him, and an equally ridiculous amount of talent in setting them up against people. It takes a certain amount of strategy and sleight of hand to lure people into these traps, however, and it's in these that Bel excels.
