TBH, if he were fully aware of the deadly circumstances in the forest and the fact that it would probably kill ALL of them instead of just one, Rome would probably go this route and kill someone in his party. If he's incredibly pressured, he'd let himself be killed, but realistically speaking, Rome would probably believe that he has a better chance of surviving and doing damage in the final nightmare than quite a few other people.

SOOOO TL;DR, depending on his party members, Rome would probably elect to kill someone else. He'd probably be the one to do it as well, if nobody else wanted to.
