INSTEAD OF MAKING ANOTHER POST, IT'S ABOUT THE SAME CHARACTER

So I'm going to be apping D in soon, and now I'm wondering it it matters which pet is brought in with him?

I mean, does it have to be one not frequently mentioned in canon, or can the pet be a regularly appearing one like the totetsu T-chan?
