I've got a few questions~ I'm considering apping Priss Asagiri from Bubblegum Crisis. I played her on another multiverse game years ago and I rather miss her.
1) Canon/s:
There are actually two Bubblegum Crisis animes. One, BGC 2032, is from the 80s. The other, 2040, is from the late 90s. 2040 is a remake of 2032 but... doesn't use 2032's plot. If I write up her background to include both canons, could I play a Priss that's from 2032 and 2040? I figured out a way to do it when I played her else-game in the past, and would write up a detailed timeline to include both in my app. It seems to me that it'd fit in with the "compression" theme if it's allowed. I mostly just treat 2032 as happening before 2040, and use 2040 (which has a complete over-arching plot, whereas 2032 didn't) when there's un-meshable conflicts.
But I don't want to even go there if the idea itself isn't allowed!
2) Passenger:
If I take Priss from the end of 2040, she's had another being downloaded into her mind: Galatea. Galatea is the source of the Boomers (http://burning-highway.livejournal.com/4154.html), so this ends up really screwing with Priss' head. Cue lots of crazy. Cue possibly learning the correct frequencies with which to manipulate machines. Cue that being your guys' call whether I take her pre download or post, and if post, whether Priss ever manifests the Sotai Phenomenon or not (the machines/metal foolery). When I wrote her going the full nine yards on an old game, it took several years before it stopped being little things that happened on accident, and by that point I had it start breaking down her biological tissues, forcing her to rarely use it. See: end of question 3 for further complications.
( Even without the Phenomenon it would be interesting to have Galatea along, for sheer slow-cooked identity crisis value. )
That's right, it's so long I have to break it into two parts.
