In regards to healing magic his experience level is pretty high. It's been his job for the past five or so years. It's basically all he does, aside from some quick garden jobs every spring, so yeah, growth and healing magic he's got the experience.

It's everything else he doesn't. But I could see him getting tired more quickly than he's used to here.

And yeah, he's not one for big dramatic gestures with magic. The only way that's coming up is if he thinks he needs to do it to save the life of someone he cares about, and he's not there about anyone yet, so... if it comes up, I'll be sure to check back in, see what kind of rebuff the Animus might have for whatever he might try. :)
