Pre-Compression ( 04/08 - 04/14 ) Buildings stand perfect, pristine, and totally abandoned. Lights flicker, lifts work sometimes and if you can find a radio or television all it repeats is the last few seconds of something, over and over again. Computers only display the page they were on, vehicles stand silent and unmoving. Weird flickers in the corners or your eye, like you just missed seeing something--or someone. The world of Adstringendum is as it was, seconds before compression. Note: Anything kept on your character when the event ends will be 'recompressed', meaning you might end up with a laser gun with a can of peas melded into the middle. Useful, no, but still cool, right?

Ten Years Later ( 04/22 - 04/28 ) Suggested by Kisa Flash forward, it’s ten years into the future of Adstringendum and you've been here all this time! What's happened over the years? Events, deaths, new friends, old enemies, marriages, all the dramatic and mundane happenings of the city, not to mention those older faces. After all, ten years is enough time for the scientists to have finally managed to fix that pesky time-compression problem somewhere along the way, right? The whole city (people, buildings, animals) are older now; ten years of history in Adstringendum. What have you been doing?

Will is 22, and has full knowledge of his existence as an Old One. Also, tempted to say he has opened a small jewelry/engraving shop. I feel like there should be some kind of friendship/colleague kind of thing happening.

Will is 22, and fully aware of his identity and duty as an Old One. He tends to be rather politely distant, but maintains close relationships with many old friends. He has opened a small jewelry/metalwork/engraving service, though the building he runs it out of tends to be rather overrun by books.

I think that's pretty ideal for Will, man I want to reread the series now. I agree there would certainly be a friendship there! Two people who understand Arthur, the old legends, even if they come from different versions of it. I think Merlin would offer to help out and could learn a lot from Will while he's at it.

I always liked the idea that Will would either take over his Dad's jewelry shop or become a professor when he got older! Feels like both fit him. And I'm thinking his shop would be completely overrun by books collected over the years.

And man, sometimes just going for walks to talk about it! I can see over time Merlin studying further into the arts of a physician, and having a garden of all his medical herbs and plants he needs.

I can see that! I don't see Will ever going the physician route, but he is very interested in plants even at age 12. Goes around reading medieval herbals and so on. I could definitely see him studying more on them eventually.

I WOULD NOT MIND THAT. Especially since Hotaru's lost all her parents who would do stuff like that ;u; so she might... attach to Urahara just a bit. Not too much, but enjoy his company.

I've been working on some ideas, but I'm totally open to anything! Sokka's going to be getting a nice scar and he'll be missing some fingers.



I figure they're going to bite at each other fairly often, so... if the Master wants to be responsible for either, he can be. XD Maybe the Master can perform some brain surgery or something? He could certainly make Sokka forget that way!

Just some thoughts. In the meantime, I'd love for Sokka to do something else to make the Master's life a living hell. ^_^

And Kida sounds like just the type of person that could get under Sokka's skin (in both good and bad ways.) Jet's pretty much the same way, I think, and they love to fight.

I'm thinking of starting a timeline, too. I've already started on icons!

I am totally up for this! And after the event, it's okay for Suki to remember and ask! Helen just... might take a while of prodding to talk about it again, since it's still so new for the present. Ten years later will mean her daughter died 12 years ago, so the sting has had a little time to wear off.

soooob it'll be a sob fest for both of them because this'll hit so many triggers for helen ;; the whole outliving people is A Thing with her, and outliving her daughter is A Bigger Thing.

Also... since this is kind of a big deal for helen, would you be up for threading something at some point? like just a little side thing on helen's contact post or something. maybe helen giving that comfort / telling the ashley story sometime after she finds out? because i am crazy ocd and like to have reference points.
