Pre-Compression ( 04/08 - 04/14 ) Buildings stand perfect, pristine, and totally abandoned. Lights flicker, lifts work sometimes and if you can find a radio or television all it repeats is the last few seconds of something, over and over again. Computers only display the page they were on, vehicles stand silent and unmoving. Weird flickers in the corners or your eye, like you just missed seeing something--or someone. The world of Adstringendum is as it was, seconds before compression. Note: Anything kept on your character when the event ends will be 'recompressed', meaning you might end up with a laser gun with a can of peas melded into the middle. Useful, no, but still cool, right?

Ten Years Later ( 04/22 - 04/28 ) Suggested by Kisa Flash forward, it’s ten years into the future of Adstringendum and you've been here all this time! What's happened over the years? Events, deaths, new friends, old enemies, marriages, all the dramatic and mundane happenings of the city, not to mention those older faces. After all, ten years is enough time for the scientists to have finally managed to fix that pesky time-compression problem somewhere along the way, right? The whole city (people, buildings, animals) are older now; ten years of history in Adstringendum. What have you been doing?

Helen would have gotten the hospital up into an actual working medical facility and anyone who wants to learn any amount of medicine / help out would be welcome. Physically, she hasn't aged at all, so she still looks roughly 35-40. Chronologically, she's now 169, though very few will have gotten this out of her.

She's still as secretive as always about her past. Her story is something she doesn't give very easily. If anything about Helen has changed at all, it's likely that she's even more withdrawn and secretive about her personal life and things that happened in her past back home. She'll likely have kept Ami, Elena, Akito, and Violet under her wing (and probably Xion, too) -- Akito until he's old enough to manage to live outside the hospital, seeing as she's aiming to get it into less of a residence and more of a business. Minus the money thing. And she'd check up on any of her positive current CR, to be sure they're doing well.

Both are incredibly stubborn enough to keep at it despite all that.

a year or two? it's mostly an issue of ingredients and keeping the amount going, i think?

...she can take pediatrician since helen won't likely be able to do much with that one emotionally >> or she will, but ami'd notice a biiig difference in how helen acts around children.

This month would be year one, so judging by how stubbornly hardworking and brilliant the two are... they'll probably have it figured out/tuned for the different types of vampires by say... March or April of next year (so end of Year 1), but won't be able to manage a constant supply/production system until beginning of Year 2?

that sounds good! appropriately difficult, i'd say. sob, poor nikola having to deal with this for a year. and i'd imagine helen's put in more than a few sleepless nights over it, as well, and he'll probably have to force her to sleep. or call nikola to make her sleep >> either way... she's known for not sleeping when she's stressed or working on something particularly important.

Urahara does that as well. Personal hygiene and health go out the window when he becomes engrossed in a project as he is someone who tends to... go over the top when he's passionate or interested in something.

They are going to be such bad influences on each other.

For Sokka, he'll lose a child and be divorced by the end of year 8, and killed by Snape in year 9. Hiss loss is going to be facial recognition, and he's going to brew alcohol and help Kida run a bar. XD

By then, he's also got a bitching scar and he's missing a finger and a half!

sfjhlsf ohgod i can just see like... nikola hitting on helen and then BOTH he and urahara trolling her until she gets fed up and leaves for a few hours. she comes back barely talking to either of them and it just snowballs in amazing ways XD
