Pre-Compression ( 04/08 - 04/14 ) Buildings stand perfect, pristine, and totally abandoned. Lights flicker, lifts work sometimes and if you can find a radio or television all it repeats is the last few seconds of something, over and over again. Computers only display the page they were on, vehicles stand silent and unmoving. Weird flickers in the corners or your eye, like you just missed seeing something--or someone. The world of Adstringendum is as it was, seconds before compression. Note: Anything kept on your character when the event ends will be 'recompressed', meaning you might end up with a laser gun with a can of peas melded into the middle. Useful, no, but still cool, right?

Ten Years Later ( 04/22 - 04/28 ) Suggested by Kisa Flash forward, it’s ten years into the future of Adstringendum and you've been here all this time! What's happened over the years? Events, deaths, new friends, old enemies, marriages, all the dramatic and mundane happenings of the city, not to mention those older faces. After all, ten years is enough time for the scientists to have finally managed to fix that pesky time-compression problem somewhere along the way, right? The whole city (people, buildings, animals) are older now; ten years of history in Adstringendum. What have you been doing?

Ten years later, Sephiroth.... does not really look much different. Hojo, wtf do your experiments do to the aging process? He is pretty different mentally and emotionally, though. More human, more open about his moods and his evil sense of humor.

A whole hell of a lot more stable; Jenova is living on the other side of a very solid wall of 'Not Listening To You' and most telepaths can't get much off him unless he lets them, either.

I would like Sephiroth to either be in a romantic relationship or to have had one that didn't work out. Anyone want to volunteer for that? Male or female is fine.

Kanaya will have put up with Azula better than most. I suppose it depends on just what Azula is going to end up like.

azula is definitely going to be pretty bitter, even more-so than she may be now, especially after katara kills her. this place pisses her the fuck off, man :| plus not being able to go home after TEN YEARS will definitely take it's toll. she may be a little more on-edge and a little "crazier", but her screws won't exactly be loose since she would have managed to befriend suki during that time

she's still trying to be friendly, after all, that wouldn't have changed much because she knows the value of company in a place that makes you miserable
so i think she'd definitely want to keep kanaya around, especially since they get along pretty well

however you want that to develop....

Kanaya can handle bitter and pissed and crazy. If she's friends with Suki, then all the better because I doubt Kanaya and Suki would have much reason to stop being friends.

She will likely meddle with Azula and have a pseudo-moirail thing going on on her side. If her bitterness and craziness hamper her confidence and brashness, Kanaya's little flushed crush would probably fizzle out, but I can see them still being friends.

fff, I don't think Hermione knows how to bowl, unless Nathan's taught her likely with the intent of copping a cheap feel. They all have such different interests that I don't even know what they would do together, so we could always wait for an official plotting post to prod Sam there for stuff.

I wonder if Sokka would be the sort of person by then to try and convince her to walk away from the marriage after he kills her, considering how often she and Ron fight. It could almost be something of a running joke, where she already recognizes the tone he uses just for that subject and beats him to the punch. ^^'

I was actually considering taking away Hermione's ability to read, but that would shatter her. ;_; And I don't mind shattering, but I would rather play it out than simply say, "And then this happened but DON'T WORRY, SHE'S COPED SINCE THEN." So I'll get back to you on that, though I'm also open to ideas.

Hermione can totally help him cope. She might recommend journaling or some other sort of activity, preferably something they can do together so she can reel him back in if he risks getting sidetracked. I would love to play out one of these coping sessions~ ♥

As for Sokka trying to convince Hermione to walk away? OH GOD YES PLEASE. This sounds like just the sort of thing Sokka would do, especially after Ron's hurt Hermione (but don't rule it out for before because Sokka will always have an extra-soft spot for her and will only want her happy, healthy, and in a good, non-argumentative relationship.) I absolutely adore the idea that he'd have a "tone" for it, too. What an amazing little tidbit that would just add so much realism to time actually passing!!

...Taking away Hermione's ability to read?! Awwwwesomely cruel and amazing. Just the little nuances that a person's gotta think about with that is so great. Like texting would be out of the question, and forget about reading the instructions on a box of Kraft Mac & Cheese! Add in the general malaise about not being able to casually read at all, and I'll bet Hermione would just be linefacing all the time.

I think... if you choose to actually do it, I will do backflips to play out some of the aftermath of that with you. :O Because that is just... so intensely different and I would cherish the thought of seeing you play it out! Then, if that goes well, we can always see what we feel about doing something for Sokka and playing that out.

Heheh. I'll have to see if Jinx's mun is okay with that, but if she is, that'd be a lot of fun. Killua, I honestly think would do well. He's extremely precise, as seen by how he handles his nen. Amazing? Probably not. But usually at least acceptable on the first try.

Targets that immediately come to mind are Negi and Al, but they've already done the birdhouses for them.

Definitely. Gon wants to go back home, so Killua wants to get him there. Though he'd get gradually angrier each time something didn't produce results, I think. Though I could say he'd already reached that point earlier, had another fun little breakdown, and then cooled off.

I actually found a PB for him yesterday, colored a few manga icons, and snagged some fanart. So yay, older!Kida! Hitsugaya's going to be the tricky one.

Kida doesn't actually have much, so anything that was broken would probably get an over-reaction. Especially if it was something Jade or Hotaru or possibly even Jinx gave him.

KIDA IS ACTUALLY KIND OF AN EXPERT ON NOT TALKING TO PEOPLE. He can't enter his girlfriend's hospital room for an entire year after she's injured by a rival gang leader. But it could be directly followed by an event that somehow seals the deal? Or an event could happen right before it, and wrecking something is just the last straw?

Personally, I think I like the idea of an event first, and then Sokka breaking something being the straw that broke the camel's back. ALL THE EXTRA STRESS, because people can do some pretty craaaaazy things during an event!

Also, not sure if I mentioned, but... it looks like there's some possibility of other staff for the bar? Is that okay with you? I was thinking Nathan and Lily Walker could help out with bar tending (and janitorial duties, mwahahaha) when Kida or Sokka weren't behind the bar. I can nix it if you've got objections, of course, and they can just be regulars, but I thought it gave them some time to be more than just slaves to their own establishment.
