Pre-Compression ( 04/08 - 04/14 ) Buildings stand perfect, pristine, and totally abandoned. Lights flicker, lifts work sometimes and if you can find a radio or television all it repeats is the last few seconds of something, over and over again. Computers only display the page they were on, vehicles stand silent and unmoving. Weird flickers in the corners or your eye, like you just missed seeing something--or someone. The world of Adstringendum is as it was, seconds before compression. Note: Anything kept on your character when the event ends will be 'recompressed', meaning you might end up with a laser gun with a can of peas melded into the middle. Useful, no, but still cool, right?

Ten Years Later ( 04/22 - 04/28 ) Suggested by Kisa Flash forward, it’s ten years into the future of Adstringendum and you've been here all this time! What's happened over the years? Events, deaths, new friends, old enemies, marriages, all the dramatic and mundane happenings of the city, not to mention those older faces. After all, ten years is enough time for the scientists to have finally managed to fix that pesky time-compression problem somewhere along the way, right? The whole city (people, buildings, animals) are older now; ten years of history in Adstringendum. What have you been doing?

Snape could have a bff in Sokka, right? Or maybe a brutal stalker instead...

Maybe for Sokka. But Snape holds grudges for forever. Something drastic would have had to happen to make them friends.

Then again, I don't know if he'd think Sokka worth the energy of hating. B|

Or maybe he could have helped Sokka grow into a stronger fighting since I imagine that wouldn't be their last fight?

I like that they fight fight fight, but I also like the possibly that anything can happen in ten years. Maybe Sokka is a total jerk by then. Maybe he forgives Snape. Maybe they could just keep hurting each other like they love to do!

Course, Snape could have killed Sokka during those ten years due to another event or something... /mean

Or maybe they just kept on fighting over the years but Sokka learned something/started to learn how to be a better fighter after/during each since Snape has kind of tried to teach him a lesson each time?

Sokka's bad at learning lessons. Hasn't Snape figured that out yet? XD

That being said, I would adore an opportunity for Sokka to be killed by Snape. His loss should be studly devastating, I think. Not sure how that changes Snape's stance, but there's definitely other options to be explored!

I think having a bunch of fights is a must, though.

Okay, death! Say there was another personality flip/memory loss/compulsion event or something that would get rid of Snape's pesky little conscience and then Sokka decided to go for another one of their fights and Snape just ends up killing him?

And, you're probably right, Sokka would get better with enough cracks to the skull. Or... decidedly worse. Maybe he can be punch drunk like Rocky. LOLOL

Answer this first: How many years can Snape stand Sokka before snapping?

I think the length of time between now and Sokka's death would totally determine how much torture's involved, don't you? I mean, he'll have up to a week, but I don't see it being out of the question for Snape just to get it done so he doesn't have to deal with Sokka.

I, myself, think slow torture would be just so apt. XD

Seeing how he gets to beat him up every so often? Many, many years. And normally, he wouldn't do anything truly life-threateningly serious b/c of that conscience since he'd just walk away after proving his point.

So the event!murder can really happen anytime, but the torture probably won't take place over an entire week.

He'd definitely do the finger/toenail thing. >3

OMG, just reading the IMDB synopsis makes me wonder if I can watch something like that with anyone else in the house. XD I will have to look into it!

Considering what's below, I think losing the baby and the end of their relationship would probably be between year 6 and year 8. Probably closer to year 8. I'll have to get with Mouse to confirm, though.

Oh man oh man oh man oh man... that is the hardest question ever!

For all intents and purposes, I think there will be more impact with something mental, because I can do something physical without actually killing the kid. XD He's totally going to be missing some fingers, so we'll lay off maiming outside of fingernails and toenails and various other Snape-induced pains.

I thought it would be cruel to take his memory of someone, but I'm not sure that's cruel enough? Unless it's Katara, and then it's probably TOO CRUEL.

Perhaps something like short-term memory loss? That would cause some issues. Or the loss of a certain aspect of his personality? Also considering an inability to recognize faces, or voices, or something like that. Really, there's so much to choose from!

I was reading all this and thinking "Hmm, Snape could probably manipulate his memories to think someone else killed him and not Snape" but then I realized that's not a death price.

Hmmmmmmmmm.......... How about taking away his ability to remember names/match names to faces?

Snape is welcome to manipulate Sokka's memories as he pleases!

As for death price? Totally thinking this: Prosopagnosia! Specifically apperceptive prosopagnosia, so that he can recognize people based on other clues, but it's going to take him some time to figure it out.

What do you think? Acceptable cruelty? :D
