Pre-Compression ( 04/08 - 04/14 ) Buildings stand perfect, pristine, and totally abandoned. Lights flicker, lifts work sometimes and if you can find a radio or television all it repeats is the last few seconds of something, over and over again. Computers only display the page they were on, vehicles stand silent and unmoving. Weird flickers in the corners or your eye, like you just missed seeing something--or someone. The world of Adstringendum is as it was, seconds before compression. Note: Anything kept on your character when the event ends will be 'recompressed', meaning you might end up with a laser gun with a can of peas melded into the middle. Useful, no, but still cool, right?

Ten Years Later ( 04/22 - 04/28 ) Suggested by Kisa Flash forward, it’s ten years into the future of Adstringendum and you've been here all this time! What's happened over the years? Events, deaths, new friends, old enemies, marriages, all the dramatic and mundane happenings of the city, not to mention those older faces. After all, ten years is enough time for the scientists to have finally managed to fix that pesky time-compression problem somewhere along the way, right? The whole city (people, buildings, animals) are older now; ten years of history in Adstringendum. What have you been doing?

SO! Suki will have aged and will now be 27~

She will no longer be in charge of the Kyoshi Warriors, but hopefully someone younger will if they're still around... also elyse needs to make ooc post about that. But most importantly- her and Sokka will no longer be together. Due to a lost of their child, Sokka and Suki are unable to handle a relationship and end things. Sokka's a jerk! Leaving Suki because they lost a child... leaving her all heart broken and stuff.

But yes, I'm up for anything for the TYL event. Just hit me up with any ideas. It'd be cool if she found someone new, so it would make for awkward CR when things go back to normal. BUT! If not, that's totally cool too!

Lucifer would probably ask her to train with his not!child, Jesse. And he'd keep in touch with her because someday they will escape, dammit, and Suki is very useful.

He has moments where he's weirdly really sympathetic to people. So when she lost the child, he would probably have been around for her (and Sokka because he's also useful) in some way.

oh god loss of a child? that hits too close to home. safe to say that, if you'd like, helen would have helped suki work through it. so up for plotting how much? :3 because depending on how things go, helen might tell suki about her own lost child.

I am totally up for this! And after the event, it's okay for Suki to remember and ask! Helen just... might take a while of prodding to talk about it again, since it's still so new for the present. Ten years later will mean her daughter died 12 years ago, so the sting has had a little time to wear off.

soooob it'll be a sob fest for both of them because this'll hit so many triggers for helen ;; the whole outliving people is A Thing with her, and outliving her daughter is A Bigger Thing.

Also... since this is kind of a big deal for helen, would you be up for threading something at some point? like just a little side thing on helen's contact post or something. maybe helen giving that comfort / telling the ashley story sometime after she finds out? because i am crazy ocd and like to have reference points.

Kanaya will likely have joined the Kyoshi Warriors legitimately and then left, too. But her and Suki should be badass independent warrior ladies when shit gets real.

She'd also try to help with the child thing, but...seeing as the concept of having a child is totally alien to Kanaya and her species, she would struggle incredibly while trying to help.
