Event Calendar APRIL 2012

Pre-Compression ( 04/08 - 04/14 )

Buildings stand perfect, pristine, and totally abandoned. Lights flicker, lifts work sometimes and if you can find a radio or television all it repeats is the last few seconds of something, over and over again. Computers only display the page they were on, vehicles stand silent and unmoving. Weird flickers in the corners or your eye, like you just missed seeing something--or someone. The world of Adstringendum is as it was, seconds before compression.

Note: Anything kept on your character when the event ends will be 'recompressed', meaning you might end up with a laser gun with a can of peas melded into the middle. Useful, no, but still cool, right?

Ten Years Later ( 04/22 - 04/28 )

Flash forward, it’s ten years into the future of Adstringendum and you've been here all this time! What's happened over the years? Events, deaths, new friends, old enemies, marriages, all the dramatic and mundane happenings of the city, not to mention those older faces. After all, ten years is enough time for the scientists to have finally managed to fix that pesky time-compression problem somewhere along the way, right? The whole city (people, buildings, animals) are older now; ten years of history in Adstringendum. What have you been doing?

For the first event, Hermione will likely be getting particularly skittish, culminating in her wandless magic getting a bit out of hand and it looks like she'll be accidentally hexing Snape fairly badly. Random hexing for others is open.

Since it looks like there might be a plotting post for it later and I don't have anything at all planned for the second event, feel free to let me know if there's something in particular you want with Hermione, in terms of backstory or something to actually do for that week.

Random hexing, yes. I don't think it would be anything more than a mild Stinging Jinx or an Impedimenta, considering that she hasn't mastered wandless magic, even if she's gotten fairly good at it.

B) Do you want to, then?; I'm not quite sure what I'll have Ron do overall, oops.;

If you'd like to, sure! I just... suck at this whole plotting thing, apparently. -_-

I'd love to plot some stuff for the second event! \o\

So far, all I've got planned is this which isn't all the pretty. D:

But Sokka and Hermione need to have some good times. And some projects, I think. Maybe they could finish making an art museum for Adstringendum? Or Sokka can start teaching Hermione how to fight and she can be an honorary member of his tribe and the Wolf Warriors!

I am totally open to ANYTHING! Do you have anything planned? :D Or anything you want to do?

Hermione wants to know what happens to his hair in those ten years. ;_;

I literally have nothing planned. Except that Hermione is going to be bffs with Nathan, apparently, much to Ron's chagrin. She can also be bffs with Sokka, just to add to Ron's chagrin. They're married, but Kisa and I haven't discussed how happy that marriage is, though we do know they fight constantly. There was mention of the personality switching event making Ron attack and/or kill Hermione; I don't think we've worked out how far we've gotten into that. But some months later, he dies from another event and loses his magic.

I think the less and less happy Sokka is with himself over the years, the more he'll want to distance himself from the image he has of his father. He's pretty ashamed of his downward spiral. :( So, there goes the wolftail.

Sokka looks to be making friends with Nathan, too, so that's sure to make Ron EXTRA HAPPY!

Also, if Ron kills and/or attacks Hermione, Sokka is going to have a very hard time not trying to exact vengeance. |:

Honestly, what I'd love to see is someone teaching Sokka how to begin overcoming his loss, and I think Hermione would be great for that. She's gentle and understanding (assuming she can forgive him for being such a douche to Suki about losing their baby,) and she'll know how to deal with his frustration. Really, he just needs to be reminded there are other ways to recognize a person outside of their facial makeup.

I really... want to do all the things with you. Most times I try to hold back because if I didn't I think we'd have 400 things going at once (and since I suck at replying timely, I feel like fail.)

... there should be Sokka/Nathan/Hermione shenanigans. I don't know of what sort, but there should be.

Sokka could be cold/distant towards Ron after that incident, and might freak out over ever little cut he sees on her body.

Hermione is always going to be there for Sokka, no matter what. She's going to disagree heavily over what happens with Suki, but after hearing him out, she will support him as best as she can because she loves him and that's what friends do for each other.

fff, you know I never mind slow tags, bb, and I always want to do all the things with you. Even when I should be in bed, apparently. >_>'

She should totally be the one that shaves it off for him! I don't know why, but I feel like that would be just... an amazing thread. >.>

Sokka/Nathan/Hermione shenanigans sound amazing! I can imagine they'd have some sort of group project, or something they like to do as a group. Is bowling an option? LOL Haven't heard from Sam much about it, though, so I can't conjecture at this point.

I'm waiting to hear from Kisa whether or not Sokka and Ron can be friends to some degree before he hurts Hermione. Not sure they'd ever be friends after Ron hurt Hermione, but hey. It's not like Sokka's without sin, right? He'll probably ease up when/if Ron dies. XD

Have you considered a death price for Hermione if she goes that route?

If you don't mind, I'll be assuming Hermione's the one teaching Sokka how to cope with his loss. She's so bright, I can't imagine a solution wouldn't appear to her right away. Would also adore playing that out because, omg, so intriguing.

If you're game for trying this or the other thread at any point between now and then, let me know and I will bow at your feet. XD

fff, I don't think Hermione knows how to bowl, unless Nathan's taught her ~~likely with the intent of copping a cheap feel~~. They all have such different interests that I don't even know what they would do together, so we could always wait for an official plotting post to prod Sam there for stuff.

I wonder if Sokka would be the sort of person by then to try and convince her to walk away from the marriage after he kills her, considering how often she and Ron fight. It could almost be something of a running joke, where she already recognizes the tone he uses just for that subject and beats him to the punch. ^^'

I was actually considering taking away Hermione's ability to read, but that would shatter her. ;_; And I don't mind shattering, but I would rather play it out than simply say, "And then this happened but DON'T WORRY, SHE'S COPED SINCE THEN." So I'll get back to you on that, though I'm also open to ideas.

Hermione can totally help him cope. She might recommend journaling or some other sort of activity, preferably something they can do together so she can reel him back in if he risks getting sidetracked. I would love to play out one of these coping sessions~ ♥

As for Sokka trying to convince Hermione to walk away? OH GOD YES PLEASE. This sounds like just the sort of thing Sokka would do, especially after Ron's hurt Hermione (but don't rule it out for before because Sokka will always have an extra-soft spot for her and will only want her happy, healthy, and in a good, non-argumentative relationship.) I absolutely adore the idea that he'd have a "tone" for it, too. What an amazing little tidbit that would just add so much realism to time actually passing!!

...Taking away Hermione's ability to read?! Awwwwesomely cruel and amazing. Just the little nuances that a person's gotta think about with that is so great. Like texting would be out of the question, and forget about reading the instructions on a box of Kraft Mac & Cheese! Add in the general malaise about not being able to casually read at all, and I'll bet Hermione would just be linefacing all the time.

I think... if you choose to actually do it, I will do backflips to play out some of the aftermath of that with you. :O Because that is just... so intensely different and I would cherish the thought of seeing you play it out! Then, if that goes well, we can always see what we feel about doing something for Sokka and playing that out.

... you know... I don't want to presume anything, but if he would still have feelings for her after all that time and says as much at some point, and they both remember this later... it could lead to a whole lot of awkward. Fun-to-play-out awkward, but awkward nonetheless. ^^'

... oh my God, yes, can the two of them just visit with each other every day so Sokka could read things she's missed on the network for her and then they can have some storytime together? I want this so badly! *_*

Haha, well, he'd never make Hermione do anything she didn't want to do, but a little assistance would make it a little easier. ;) Less chance of scarring himself... more.

I wouldn't put it past Sokka to always have feelings for Hermione, though by the time all of this comes around, he won't think himself worthwhile enough to think she'd ever return the feelings. That being said, I think it could very easily slip out at some point and totally make for awkward times now and forever. \o/

Storytime, omg. He would diligently do that every day he could, no matter the mood he's in! Because, gosh, he'd never resist the urge to help Hermione, especially at her request. I think we should do it! Maybe we can do that? Soon? Soon soon? OMG, I just want to see it happening right this second. XD

D'aw, well, if it does, Hermione is totally going to have to have a talk with him post-event, which, y'know, will lead to more awkward. Always and forever. ^^'

I feel like an excited puppy at this concept. She will totally offer to like... mend his clothes or cook for him or something while he's reading, just so she can feel productive. Though sometimes, admittedly, she's just going to stop and lean in, trying to follow along with him. Which will frustrate her to no end when she can't, but at least she has her bff there with her? ♥

Haha, yeah, I'm just glad the log was coherent, since I may have been drinking just a little last night. XD I will be getting to replies shortly! \o/

Oh, spirits, I can imagine that "talk" after the event would be more than interesting. XD So very awkward, so very awesome.

Poor Hermione! I can't wait to see how that goes... and I will totally write something up in my musebox if you say the word~, whether it be Sokka finding out what Hermione lost, or just the day-to-day of dealing with it.
