LITTLE RUMBLES ( 5/3 - END OF MONTH ) Minor tremors shudder through Adstringendum throughout the month. Small animals become harder to find, making hunting difficult, and larger, dangerous creatures become more common closer to the city.

REMEMBER WHEN WE USED TO SING? ( 5/5 - 5/11 ) Suggested by snaketrap Life is but a song! For one week, characters find themselves breaking out in song over just about everything.

SHADOWS SPEAK ( 5/19 - 5/25 ) Suggested by oblivionswater Everyone's shadow gets a voice, and it has a lot to say. After all, your shadow sees and knows everything. Every dark fear, every insecurity, every failing. Your shadow has decided that you (and the rest of the city) needs to be reminded. from ms_elegante Modly Addendum: The more you heed your shadow's words and give in (verbally or mentally) to those darker thoughts, insecurities, and so on, the more life your shadow gets. If they absorb enough negative energy off of their host, the more likely they'll be able to act as their own entity. Feed it enough and maybe it will even be able to hold physical objects. However, at no time will they become a 3-dimensional object. It is just a shadow, after all.

Yep! And with the new addition to the event, the more negative energy they're fed, the more they can interact with their environment independently. 8)b

Flashlights. Can these be an effective weapon against the shadows?

Answered this on plurk already but for everyone else, flashlights will work but only temporarily! They'll disperse the current shadow, but a new one will form (since the flashlight is a new light source) and go right back to being annoying pretty quickly.

During this event, is it possible for the shadows to take over the PCDs? Like, they're able to hold them or whatever?

With the new addition/twist on the event, if the character's shadow is "fed" enough negative energy, they'll be able to interact with their environment, including the PCDs.

If the shadows manage to be independent, do they get to use their original's powers (such as they can as two dimensional beings) or are they essentially physically harmless?

The shadows won't be totally independent as they'll still be attached to the original. But anyway no, they won't get any of the original's powers. As for being physically harmless, they will be until they absorb enough of the negative emotions to pick up objects.

Quick question on this topic, will the shadows be able to mess with emotion-linked powers? (Not necessarily control, but send on the fritz or something?)

Since they're basically just a sentient shadowy spot on the wall, they wouldn't be able to mess with emotion-linked powers, no... But they would be detectable as little pools of negative emotion. So, trying emotion-based abilities on them could backfire at player discretion. c:

Sorry, weird (potentially dumb) question: do their shadows have to reflect their current form? I was thinking it would be cool if human!Rome's shadow was his wolf form. :o Also potentially if people's shadows were fed more, getting bigger/more nightmarish in comparison to the person attached to them.

The shadows are literally your character's shadow, so... hm. Think of it like Peter Pan's shadow (except attached) - they can alter their shape to stretch and move and such, but they would always more or less resemble their original. :|a

Nanako canonically has no shadow, how will it affect her or should I just opt out for her?

They're not Persona-style shadows, actually! It's the character's actual physical shadow. Think of Peter Pan, but the shadow is still attached to the person and has the capability of speaking and possibly eventually interacting with objects and such. c:

Just a friendly reminder to anyone who takes a peek here fire-lizards love music, and will often be found flocking to sources of it.

So fire-lizards both tame and wild will be attracted to the singing (though wild ones will keep a more respectable distance, of course).

Question about the singing event! Will our characters only sing songs that they KNOW or is it more like ANY song available?

Sorry for the late response. Any song is available, including anything you happen to make up. Maybe something from the canon, a parody of a preexisting song, the sky's the limit as far as songs go!

AND THEN HID THEMSELVES IN A PLACE OF ABSOLUTE DARKNESS, SO THAT THERE ISN'T ANY WAY FOR THEIR OWN SHADOW TO BE CAST, BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS DARK

It could! Or the shadow could disperse into the rest of the darkness and just surround the character with its voice. It's up to player discretion which they want to do, and it can be different each time!
