GRIMM'S FAIRY TALES ( 9/8 - 9/14 ) Suggested by death_scythe Fairy tales are just childhood stories... until one day you wake to find an apple on your nightstand that wasn't there the day before. A kindly old woman tells you she's your fairy godmother. Is that a wolf stalking you through the streets? Maybe they weren't just stories after all. For this week, Adstringendum will be filled with familiar elements from fairy tales -- talking fish, magic beanstalks, hungry wolves, magic mirrors, and more! It all vanishes at the stroke of midnight on September 14... but in the meantime, be careful. Not all fairytales are nice.

HERE'S YOUR SIGN ( 9/22 - 9/28 ) Suggested by argentimperator Danger: Grumpy When Wet. Warning: Bad Mood Walking. Prankster Alert! Sephiroth Needs Hugs Badly. All these and more, as the Animus decide that everyone in the city needs to come with a warning label, information sheet, or completely random note! Warning: Signs May Change Without Warning. The signs will appear somewhere near the person, and can take any form from a stamp on their forehead to flashing neon... even appearing in text on the network.

Could those from the Once Upon A Time cast like... revert to their pre-Storybrooke selves? If not, that's fine! I'm still uber-psyched about this event!

Basically they would become the people they were before the curse. Ruby is Red, without any knowledge of Storybrooke, Gold would be Rumplestiltskin (The Dark One), and Belle well...she's pre-Storybrooke anyway so that wouldn't really affect her...

So it'd mostly just affect their memories? -- It sounds to me like that change wouldn't quite fit the event (although something like a werewolf transformation that didn't follow the full moon schedule, or spinning wheels that turn straw into gold, would definitely be in the spirit of the thing.)

Basically this one's more about fairytale props and extras, without psychological changes!

For fairlytale elements, will it just be things in the environment (excluding characters like Ruby) like the Evil Witch's house from Hansel and Gretel, or will characters be able to be affected by [non-mind-altering] curses, like in The Swan Princess or The Frog Prince, etc., or spells that end at midnight like in Cinderella?

Temporary physical changes are OK! The only limitations are that characters will still be themselves mentally, and that any changes to characters' bodies or their surroundings will be reverted to normal at the end of the event.

In the Fairy tales event, would say animals that are already present in Adstring would talk? Not every single one obviously but for post purposes or whatnot? For example - maybe fish that are in the koi pond or something along those lines?

If someone goes high enough, they may find themselves looping right back around to ground level!

Of course, if they stopped before that, they might find themselves still in a fairy-tale environment. Cloudy with a chance of fee-fi-fo-fum?

HI THERE I HAVE A QUESTION

would it be possible for fantasy character from middle-earth to appear? there's a few things from songs and such that could work, i think! i'll play everything if this could happen! :)

Unfortunately, the event is for external fairy tales (IRL ones, like Grimm, Andersen, etc.) only and not anything from within a character's canon, so bringing in something from Middle Earth wouldn't be possible. :c

If it's a character you'd like to have brought in for an event, we do have a Fourth Wall event coming up at the end of October! So that's always a possibility. c:

Very late fairytale question

Will stuff generated by characters because of the fairytale elements also disappear when the event is over or will they stay?

For example, if a character gets the ability to make gold out of straw would it turn back to straw once the even is done or stay gold?

It would turn back into straw -- items that are created or changed as a result of the fairytale event will disappear or change back into their normal forms.
