THE WHO'S WHO OF ADSTRING ( 10/6 - 10/12 ) Suggested by mellowyellow This week, something is wrong with your perception. You're seeing people who have already disappeared, people who have never been in Adstringendum, and the people who are supposed to be here aren't acting like themselves at all. In fact, it soon becomes clear that who you think you see might not be who they really are... Residents of Adstringendum will see themselves as normal, but to affected individuals, other people may appear as literally anyone -- familiar or not. The illusion extends to all five senses. Be careful what you say... we wouldn't want to cause any misunderstandings, now would we?

FOURTH WALL ( 10/20 - 10/31 ) Suggested by The Moderators There's those strange faces again! But wait... this time, is it really them? Details here!

THIS IS HALLOWEEN ( 10/27 - 10/31 ) Suggested by The Moderators Happy Halloween! Beginning on the 27th, mysterious little shops will appear throughout the city, stuffed to the rafters with every kind of makeup, clothing and prop you need to assemble the costume of your dreams... or your nightmares. There's just one catch! At sundown on the 31st, your character will become whoever or whatever they dressed as, and stay that way until sunrise. This transformation may affect both their bodies and their minds (causing them to believe they really are whatever they've transformed into) -- the degree of mental effect is up to the player. Characters can opt out of this event by not wearing a costume. Fourth wall participants are welcome to join in! There are plenty of costumes for all. All of the costume shops, and any costumes not being worn, will disappear at sunrise on November 1st. The ones they're wearing? Well, they can keep those... but will they really want to put them on again?

This is a bit of a stretch, so I understand if the answer is no, BUT: would it be possible for the messed-up perceptions to go in the opposite direction too, and have characters unable to see people who are there? As in not seeing them as someone else, but having them be completely invisible.

We're actually gonna say no on this one. We don't have a problem with cross-species confusion (like seeing people as animals and vice versa), but they'll see something there.

With the 'This is Halloween' event, besides the shops popping up are there going to be creepy/spooky/haubted goings on as well? If not, can there be?

It's actually going to be just the costume shops, so no on both counts. But don't despair! Because we do have something planned for the end of October/start of November. We'll be giving more details on it later, but for now it's a surprise. :3c

Halloween Event!

If our character is dressed up as a being with powers (all of this assuming the stuff came from the shops) when they don't have powers of their own...will they GET those powers? Say I take Duo...dress him up as a REAL God of Death (Think Bleach), would he gain Shinigami powers?

Yes, they will gain powers appropriate to whatever they're dressed as... although they won't necessarily know how to use those powers! (Think Ichigo in the first couple of episodes.)

So. If you have a costume under a costume for sake of a quick change, what happens?

(Alex is going to have a slenderman outfit sans the mask under his Kida costume, and he might make use of the shops for both costumes. Or possibly put the Slenderman costume over the Kida one earlier in the day so he can switch back and forth and troll people)

He'll transform into whichever costume he's wearing closest to his skin when the event takes effect. (Which of the two it happens to be is up to you!)

So, are the costume shops going to be open still on Halloween? Would it be possible for Asagi to dress as Izumi, then have Izumi take over for the day, basically?

Yes, they will be open until sunset on Halloween -- the moment when everyone turns into their costume.

And Asagi could definitely dress as Izumi, then transform into him!
